BYU men's and women's swim and dive teams will be represented in the USA Swimming sanctioned Championship Series.

IRVINE, Calif. - Five Cougars will compete this week in the TYR Summer Championships at the William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center. 

As part of the USA Swimming Championship Series, the TYR Summer Championships offers collegiate swimmers the chance to compete before the NCAA season kicks off. 

The meet begins Tuesday, August 5th, and concludes Friday, August 8th, with prelims beginning at 10 a.m. MDT and finals beginning at 6 p.m. each day.

Darwin Anderson, Jacob Ballard, Max Kleinman and Payton Plumb will represent the BYU men’s team, with Lucy Warnick representing the women’s team. 

Anderson will compete in the 200 freestyle, 400 freestyle, 800 freestyle and 1500 freestyle. Ballard will compete in the 200 butterfly. Kleinman will compete in the 50 butterfly and the 100 butterfly. Plumb will compete in the 200 freestyle. 

Warnick will compete in 50 breaststroke, the 100 breaststroke, the 200 breaststroke and the 400 individual medley.
