PROVO, Utah – BYU men’s golf begins its 2025-26 campaign at Wohali Golf Club - Eagle Course in Coalville, Utah at the Wohali Classic from Sept. 15-16.

“Being able to compete in Utah for our first tournament of the year is pretty cool for our golf program,” said assistant coach Todd Miller. “I don’t know if we have ever had that opportunity to compete in our home state right out of the gate. The guys like the golf course at Wohali. They had a solid qualifier, and they feel prepared.” 

BYU will be in a 14-team field that includes host Utah, Arizona State, Oregon State, San Diego State, Tarleton State, UCLA, San Diego, Kansas State, New Mexico, Georgia Southern, Colorado State, Cal Poly and UNLV.

The Cougars are rolling out freshmen Kihei Akina and Parker Bunn who are debuting their college career, sophomore Jackson Mauss, junior Peter Kim and senior Simon Kwon in their starting five. Junior Angus Klintworth and sophomore Kevin Wu will be competing as individuals. 

At the 7,566-yard course near Echo Reservoir, BYU tees off with two 18-hole rounds the morning of Monday, Sept. 15th then their final round will be played on Tuesday, Sept. 16th.
