NORMAN, Okla. – BYU men’s golf came in at No. 17 in this week's 2025-26 Bushnell/Golfweek Division I Coaches Poll, the GCAA announced on Friday.

The Cougars received 175 points in the poll released on Sep. 19, marking the second consecutive poll in which BYU has been ranked. 

This past week, the Cougars finished fourth at The Wohali with 3 players finishing inside the top 15. Simon Kwon recorded his third top-5 finish as a Cougar as he took fifth, courtesy of his final round 65, the lowest 18-hole score of his BYU career. 

Preseason All-American Kihei Akina finished 10th at The Wohali in his first collegiate start. Peter Kim posted an even-par 54-hole total to finish in a tie for 14th at Wohali Golf Club.

BYU is the third-highest Big 12 team in the rankings, along with No. 2 Arizona State, No. 4 Oklahoma State, No. 19 Texas Tech and No. 24 Utah.
