IRVING, Texas - Davin Thompson was named the Big 12 Runner of the Week the conference announced Tuesday afternoon.

The senior from Lehi becomes the third Cougar to win the award since joining the Big 12 Conference in 2023. He was tabbed for the award after taking first overall at the Autumn Classic last Friday. Thompson crossed the finish line in the 7,000-meter race in a time of 19:49.82. The Cougars earned a perfect score of 15 points with their first five finishers to take first place.

Last season Thompson was part of the NCAA Championship team finishing 50th overall with a time of 29:33.6.
