IRVING, Texas - Hunter Kitchen was named the Big 12 Runner of the Week the conference announced Tuesday afternoon.
The Sophomore from Kaysville becomes the fourth Cougar to win the award since joining the Big 12 in 2023. He was tabbed for the award after taking first overall at the Utah State Steve Reeder Memorial Invite last Friday. This marks his first career individual win in a Cross Country race. Kitchen crossed the line in the 7,000-meter race in a time of 21:10.1. The Cougars took first as a team winning with 24 points.
