PROVO, Utah — Men’s golf is set to tee off for The Preserve Golf Club Collegiate at Santa Lucia Preserve in Carmel, California on Oct. 27-28.

The Cougars are coming off a 14th place finish at The Bryson Invitational on Oct. 13-15. Kihei Akina was the top-performing BYU golfer as he ended with a tie for 29th.

The lineup traveling to California will be seniors Simon Kwon and Tyson Shelley, junior Peter Kim and freshmen Jackson Mauss and Akina. Redshirt freshman Parker Bunn will participate as an individual. 

BYU will be competing against 10 other teams in a field that includes Oregon, Kent State, Saint Mary’s, Cal, San Diego, Colorado State, Grand Canyon, Santa Clara, Long Beach State and host Cal Poly. 

The Cougars will play 36 holes on Monday then 18 holes on Tuesday.
