NORMAN, Okla. — BYU men’s golf was ranked No. 25 in the updated Bushnell/Golfweek Division I Coaches Poll on Friday.
The Cougars have appeared in every edition of the rankings this season. BYU was tied for 13th in the preseason poll, then ranked No. 17 and No. 12 before being slotted No. 25 with 56 points this week.
Since the last updated ranking on Friday, Oct. 10th, the Cougars competed in two events, The Bryson Invitational on Oct. 13-15, where they finished 14th and The Preserve Golf Club Collegiate on Monday and Tuesday. The team took home the win at The Preserve Golf Club Collegiate, their second win of the season. BYU had three finishers in the top five: Tyson Shelley in third, with Simon Kwon and Kihei Akina earning a share of the fifth spot.
Four other Big 12 schools were ranked for the second consecutive poll. Arizona State comes in as the top Big 12 school at No. 5, then Oklahoma State at No. 9, Utah at No. 17 and Texas Tech at No. 19.
