PROVO, Utah – BYU head men’s basketball coach announced the signing of Will Openshaw on Wednesday afternoon.
“Will Openshaw fits everything that BYU is about,” Young said. “We are excited to get him in our locker room after his mission. He is a skilled, confident playmaker with a great feel for the game and a competitiveness that really stands out. He can impact winning in a lot of different ways on both ends of the floor and fits perfectly with how we want to play. We can’t wait to get him in BYU blue and watch him grow in our program.”
The Timpview product earned 5A Third Team All-State accolades as a junior in 2024-25 after averaging 11.3 points and 6.8 rebounds per game. He also had 54 blocks, 17 steals and 16 assists as the Thunderbirds advanced the semifinals of the state tournament.
