IRVING, Texas — After holding Cincinnati to 14 points and just 87 yards rushing, the BYU defensive line was today honored as the Defensive Line of the Week by the Big 12 Conference for a second consecutive week.

In the 26-14 win over Cincinnati, BYU’s defensive line collected 18 tackles, including two-tackles for loss and a quarterback hurry. Cincinnati’s total of 14 points tied its lowest scoring output of the 2025 season and it’s 87 rushing yards were the fewest by a Bearcat team since the 2022 season.

Cincinnati took three trips into the red zone but capitalized just once thanks in part to BYU’s swarming defensive line. The Bearcats were No. 7 nationally in red zone percentage at 94.8 coming into the game, having scored on 37 of 39 possessions.

BYU hosts the UCF Knights on Saturday at 11 a.m. MT at LaVell Edwards Stadium in the final regular season game of the 2025 season. The game will be broadcast on ESPN2 with Matt Schumacker, Dustin Fox and Sherree Burruss on the call.
