KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Five players from the BYU women’s soccer team received College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honors, the organization announced Tuesday. Halle Dixon, Avery Frischknecht, Mika Krommenhoek, Emma Neff and Mattyn Summers-Oviatt all received the honors. 

This is first-year honors for all five women’s soccer student athletes. 

The 2025 Academic All-District Women's Soccer Teams recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. In order to be nominated, players must average a 3.5 GPA and play 90% of the matches or start in 66% of the games.

Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. Those who are selected for first-, second- and third-team honorees will be announced on December 17.

Summers-Oviatt is receiving her first academic all-district honors and studies Business Marketing, with a 3.79 GPA. She played in 22 games this season, scoring four goals on seven shots. 

As one of BYU’s crucial key players on the backline, Frischknecht is studying Exercise and Wellness and maintaining a 3.86 GPA. She started 20 games for the Cougars this year, scoring one goal.

As a first-time honoree, Neff has earned a 3.98 GPA while studying English. The Salt Lake City, Utah native played in all 24 games for BYU this year, starting in eight.

Sophomore Krommenhoek has earned a 3.96 GPA while studying Communications at BYU. She started in 21 games for BYU this year, tallying a team-and career-high eight assists.

Dixon tallied one goal and five assists for the Cougars this year, while maintaining a 3.86 GPA in Journalism and Sports Media.
