PROVO, Utah – Zoey Bonds delivered a No. 5 all-time performance on Wednesday at the Smith Fieldhouse.

Bonds won the pentathlon with a personal-record score of 4,105 points. The performance moves her to No. 5 in program history, surpassing Mayci Taylor’s 4,028 from last season. The Las Vegas native won three of five events in the 60-meter hurdles, high jump and long jump and set personal records in four of them. In the long jump, Bonds extended her personal best by more than a meter, improving from 18-3.25 to 19-9.5.

The newly developed distance medley relay team raced for the first time this season, clocking 10:41.85. Associate Director of Track & Field Diljeet Taylor returns most of her national championship crew in Riley Chamberlain, Tessa Buswell and Sami Oblad, and she adds Jane Hedengren as the final 1600m leg.

Kaiah Fisher headlined the throws group with a winning mark of 167-2 in the discus. Brooklyn Montgomery, Lia Pili, Jayda Lee and Lia Katoa followed in second, third, fourth and sixth, respectively.

Katoa placed third in the weight throw with a mark of 55-1. Lee and Montgomery weren’t far behind, finishing fifth and sixth, with Montgomery setting a personal record at 53-3.75.

Omaha, Nebraska, product Kat Beachler won the shot put with a mark of 47-5.
