BETHLEHEM, Pennsylvania — Five members of the 2025 BYU football team have been named to the Sports Info Solutions Big 12 All-Conference Team. 

SIS, a leading company in pro and college football player data tracking and analytics, selected the All-Big 12 Team based on its all-encompassing statistical analysis and scouting.

First-team selections included running back LJ Martin, cornerback Evan Johnson and safety Faletau Satuala. Senior captain Tanner Wall was selected second-team safety, while freshman quarterback Bear Bachmeier was one of just three Big 12 student-athletes to receive honorable mention honors.

MARTIN, who was previously named second-team All-American by Pro Football Network, was also voted by the Big 12 coaches as First-Team All-Conference and Conference Offensive Player of the Year. In addition, he was named First-Team All-Big 12 by Pro Football Focus. 

The 6-foot-2, 220-pound junior from El Paso, Texas, led the Big 12 Conference in yards rushing (1,305), yards per game (100.4) and all-purpose yards (1,560). He was also second in the Big 12 in rushing touchdowns (12). Nationally he is sixth in rushing yards and 14th in rushing yards per game.

JOHNSON, who along with Wall led BYU with four interceptions, was previously named honorable-mention All-Big 12 by the league’s coaches. Earlier in the season, the 6-foot-0, 185-pound junior from Monterey, California, was honored as the Thorpe Award National Defensive Back of the Week for his role in BYU’s win at East Carolina. Johnson finished the regular season tied for second in the Big 12 in interceptions and was tied for sixth in passes defended (10). He also led the BYU defense in pass breakups (7). 

SATUALA led BYU in total tackles (78) and forced fumbles (2). He was also second in interception (3) and third in tackles for loss (7.5). The 6-foot-4, 210-pound sophomore from Bountiful, Utah, tied for 11th in the Big 12 in interceptions. Earlier in the season Satula was honored as the Lott Trophy Player of the Week and Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in BYU’s win at Iowa State. He was also named third-team All-Big 12 by the league’s coaches. 

WALL is tied with Johnson for the BYU lead with four interceptions, good second in the Big 12. The 6-1, 205-pound senior safety was second on the team in tackles (66) and forced fumbles (1). He was selected by the Big 12 coaches as First-Team All-Conference and was later named to the All-Big 12 Team by Pro Football Focus. Wall is a member of the 2025 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team and is a finalist for both the Allstate Wuerffel Trophy and the Pop Warner College Football Award, as well as a semifinalist for the Jason Witten Collegiate Man of the Year Award. 

BACHMEIER, who was named conference freshman of the week seven times during the regular season, captured the Big 12 Offensive Freshman of the Year Award and was also named Big 12 Honorable Mention by the conference coaches. The 6-foot-2, 230-pound true freshman quarterback from Murrieta, California, completed 224-of-349 passes for 2,708 yards and 14 touchdowns. He averaged 208.3 yards per game passing, with an efficiency rating of 139.2. In addition, Bachmeier is second on the team in rushing, with 146 carries for 527 yards and an average of 40.5 yards per game.
