PROVO, UT – Jaden Roskelley broke multiple personal records to take first in three of the Heptathalon events Wednesday afternoon at the Smith Fieldhouse.

Posting a 44-11.75 in the Shot Put Roskelley surpassed his previous best of 44-8.25 by more than three inches. He also shattered his personal record in the Long Jump measuring in at 24-0.5, nearly breaking his previous best of 23-1.25 by a foot. He beat out the competition in each of those events taking first overall. He will finish out the Heptathalon tomorrow in the 60-meter hurdles, pole vault and 1000-meter run.

All-American Ben Barton competed alongside Roskelley in the Heptathalon events; notably taking second in the 60-meter coming across the line in 6.89 seconds just 0.01 seconds behind Javin Richards of Utah State for first.

In his first meet in a BYU uniform Silas Zimmerman took second in the pole vault with Dallin Thornton matching his height at 16-7.5 to take third.

Thrower Tyler Poole took first overall in the Shot Put recording a personal best throw of 54-6.75. The Sophomore from Saint George improved his own best performance by nearly three feet. His teammate Peyton Williams had a podium finish in the weight throw taking third overall and posting a nearly four foot improvement posting a 57-3.5.
