ORLANDO, Fla. — The BYU football team and travel party arrived Monday night in Orlando to begin the week of festivities in preparation for Saturday's Pop-Tarts Bowl vs. Georgia Tech.
The Cougars and Yellow Jackets face off on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET at Camping World Stadium. The game will be televised on ABC. Fans can buy tickets now.
BYU held an early morning team lift in Provo before boarding planes to Orlando a few hours later. Players, coaches and staff, along with many family members arrived to a warm welcome in Orlando in the early evening.
Head coach Kalani Sitake, wideout Parker Kingston and safety Tanner Wall spoke to members of the media upon arrival to share their excitement for the Pop-Tarts Bowl.
Members of the Pop-Tarts Bowl staff, hotel personnel and other volunteers threw a welcome party dinner featuring a DJ and entertainment, video games, treats and of course Pop-Tarts.
Activities for Tuesday include a joint service activity with Georgia Tech in the morning, practice in the afternoon and additional team activities in the evening.
