IRVING, Texas – Five BYU women’s tennis student-athletes were named to the 2025 Spring Academic All-Big 12 Team, with two additional Cougars earning spots on the Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team, the conference announced Tuesday.
To qualify for the Spring Academic Team, student-athletes must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher, either cumulative or over the two previous semesters. They must have participated in at least 20 percent of their team’s scheduled competitions. Freshmen and transfers are not eligible in their first year of academic residence. Senior student-athletes who have participated for a minimum of two years and meet all the criteria except participation percentage are also eligible.

To be eligible for the All-Rookie team, nominees must have completed at least 24 hours of non-remidal coursework and achieved a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0. Additionally, the student-athlete must have competed in at least one of their team's scheduled contests and must have been a member of their respective team for their sport's entire NCAA Championship segment.
