OGDEN, Utah — Paje Rasmussen, Sami Oblad and the 4x400-meter relay squad each posted facility-record performances, highlighting three top-10 program finishes Saturday at the Weber State Indoor Invitational at Stromberg Arena.
Rasmussen broke BYU multis & jumps coach Tiffany Hogan’s 22-year old facility record in the 55m dash by 0.05 seconds, finishing in 6.85. Her time ranks No. 2 in program history, just behind Windy Jorgensen’s 6.81 set in 1998.
Oblad added another facility record for BYU, clocking 2:08.49 in the 800m to break the previous mark set by former Cougar Heidi McGill in 2005 by more than one second. Mayci Taylor placed second with a time of 2:10.65.
Rasmussen, Kali McEuen, Cambria Hasler and Marianne Barber also set a facility record in the 4x400m relay, finishing in 3:46.54. The previous record of 3:51.92 was set by host Weber State in 2018. BYU finished more than eight seconds ahead of second-place Utah State.
