OGDEN, Utah – Noah Jenkins broke the 3000-meter facility record and the DMR squad broke the facility record at the Weber State Indoor Invitational Saturday afternoon. 

After taking the No. 6 all-time BYU spot in the 5000-meter run last month, the sophomore from Herriman led the distance group finishing first overall in the 3000m finishing in a facility record of 8:06.02. Fellow sophomore Dalton Mortenson finished fourth coming across the line in 8:17.83.

The Distance Medley Relay squad featuring Carter Cutting, Jonah Heimuli, Brayden Packard and Tayvon Kitchen finished in 9:44.49 taking first overall and breaking the facility record. With that time the group also recorded the fastest time in the NCAA this season.

Brayden Dahl finished second in the 55m dash in a time of 6.34 seconds. As a converted 60m time he finished in 6.81 seconds, which is a personal best.

In the 55m hurdles Jayden Jessee finished third in 7.58 seconds with sophomore teammate Garrett Copelin finishing just 0.02 seconds later in a time of 7.60 to take fourth.

Sophomore Tyler Poole hit a personal best 53-5.75 in the shot put and finished second overall with fellow thrower Erik Bryant taking third recording a throw of 52-1.25. That mark is also a personal record for the freshman.

Junior Connor Saunders finished second in the high jump with a mark of 6-7.25 with teammate Carter Walker jumping a 6-5.25 and taking third.

Freshman Peyton Williams took third in the weight throw posting a mark of 57-8.5. The Saint George native broke his personal best throw with that mark.
