PROVO, Utah — No. 11 BYU returns to the friendly confines of the Marriott Center on Wednesday, Jan. 14, when the Cougars host TCU in their only regular season meeting this season. Tip is scheduled for 9 p.m. MT.

WHERE TO WATCH
Wednesday's game will be broadcast on ESPN2 with Dave Flemming and Sean Farnham on the call.

DON'T KISS THE FROG
Wednesday will be the 25th all-time meeting between the Cougars and Horned Frogs and 12th in Provo. BYU holds a 20-4 advantage in the series, including seven straight wins at the Marriott Center dating back to their days in the Mountain West Conference.

In their only other meeting at the Marriott Center as Big 12 foes, BYU overcame a 17-point halftime deficit to defeat the Horned Frogs 87-75 on March 2, 2024. Richie Saunders is the only remaining Cougar that played in the game as the Riverton native finished with 11 points in 24 minutes of action, going 4-of-5 from the field, 1-of-1 from 3-point range and 3-of-4 from the free throw lien. He also had seven rebounds and two assists as the Cougars outscored TCU 58-29 after halftime.

HOME SWEET HOME
BYU is back in the Marriott Center ready to defend its 11-game home win streak that began with a 80-65 victory over Kansas State on Feb. 15, 2025. Their current home win streak is tied for the 22nd longest in NCAA Division I menís basketball.

The Cougars are 7-0 at home this season, including eclipsing the century mark in back-to-back games in the same season for the first time since December 1992. They are one of the top offensive teams in the country when playing at the Marriott Center, ranking second in Net Rating (44.2), second in 2-point field goal percentage (67. percent), fourth in offensive rating (136.2), fourth in true shooting percentage (66.7 percent) and fourth in effective field goal percentage (63.2 percent), sixth in field goal percentage (54.5 percent) and seven in fast break points per game (22.0). Their defense isn't half bad as their defensive ration of 91.9 is 26th nationally.

THE MAN, THE MYTH IS CLOSE TO BECOMING A LEGEND
With his 20-point performance in Saturday's win over rival Utah, AJ Dybantsa has scored at least 20 points and shot at least 50.0 percent from the field in nine straight games. That is the longest streak by any NCAA Division I freshman over the last 30 seasons and the longest run by a Big 12 player all-time (regardless of class).

MAKING AN IMPACT
BYU is on pace to average over 18,000 fans per game during a season for the first time since 2010-11 when they had an averaged of 18,714 fans to witness Jimmermania.

Cougar Nation is also on pace to help the Cougars finish in the Top 5 of attendance in NCAA Division I men's basketball for the first time since 1994-95 when they finished fifth with 18,838 fans per game.

CAN WE GET THEM A NICKNAME?
The trio of AJ Dybantsa, Robert Wright III and Richie Saunders has scored 955 of BYU's 1,412 points this season or 67.6 percent for those that don't want to open the calculator app on their phone.

They have accounted for at least 60.0 percent of BYU's points in all but five games this season (Holy Cross, Wisconsin, Maimi, Cal Baptist and UC Riverside). They have also accounted for more than 80.0 percent of the points twice this season (Delaware, Dayton).

According to CBB Analytics, the trio ranks in the 92nd percentile in net rating (+27.3), offensive rating (127.4) and 89th in effective field goal percentage (58.3).

IT WAS FUN WHILE IT LASTED
After a program-record nine straight weeks in the AP Top 10, BYU dropped to 11 after its wins over Arizona State and Utah. The Cougars were pushed out by the undefeated duo of Vanderbilt and Nebraska.

Texas Tech dropped to No. 15 after its loss to No. 7 Houston last week and sets up Saturday as BYU's second Top 15 matchup of the season and first on the road since a 80-76 victory over No. 6 San Diego State on Feb. 26, 2011.

DO YOU WANT TO LIVE FOREVER
Kevin Young has continued the tradition of BYU winning games at the Marriott Center as the second-year head coach in 22-2 in Provo since he was hired in the spring of 2024.

BYU is 661-156 all-time at the Marriott Center, including 10 or more wins in 20 straight seasons. In fact, BYU has had more 10-game win streaks at home than lost consecutive games since the beginning of the 2000 season, 13-5.
