ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Paje Rasmussen broke the school record in the 60-meter dash, then helped teammates Marianne Barber, Kali McEuen and Sami Oblad set another school record in the 4x400-meter relay Saturday in the Don Kirby Invitational at the Albuquerque Convention Center.

Rasmussen finished third in the 60m invite final in 7.25, breaking Jaslyn Gardner’s three-year-old program record of 7.27. It marked Rasmussen’s fourth-straight top-three finish in the event. Her time is tied for the 21st-fastest mark in the NCAA this season and ranks third in the Big 12 this season.

The Draper, Utah product led off the 4x400m relay team that clocked the fastest time in program history and the second-fastest mark in the Big 12 this season. Rasmussen, Barber, McEuen and Oblad were paced by Oblad’s anchor leg, as the senior recorded a 51.44 split, the fastest of any runner in the field.

The Cougars posted two top-10 performances in the 60m hurdles, as Zoey Bonds ran the No. 5 time at 8.25 and Kali McEuen earned the No. 8 spot with an 8.40. Bonds has improved her time at every meet this season.

Kat Beachler led BYU’s throws lineup, with her throw of 14.24m/46-8.75 for seventh place. Lia Pili finished behind her in ninth with 13.92m/45-8.
