BOULDER, Colo. – Jonah Heimuli set the No. 8 all-time BYU record in the indoor 400-meter Friday afternoon at the Colorado Last Chance Indoor Invitational.
The sophomore came across the line in a personal-best 46.81 taking first and besting his previous record by just under 0.4 seconds. The All-American now holds a top 10 record in two different 400m events at BYU after helping set the No. 1 all-time record in the outdoor 4x400-meter during the 2025 season.
The Alpine, Utah native also competed in the distance medley relay alongside indoor mile school record holder Carter Cutting, Jake Orr and Big 12 men’s track and field Co-Athlete of the week Tayvon Kitchen. The team finished second overall in a season best 9:28.60 which converts to 9:18.97 after the altitude conversion.
Freshman Jacob Robison took first overall in the 800-meter posting a personal-record 1:51.64. The Santa Ana, California native improved his fastest collegiate time by more than a second. Caleb Johnson appeared in the mile finishing second crossing the line in 4:10.53.
