PROVO, Utah - No. 19 BYU begins its final road trip of the regular season on Saturday, Feb. 28, when the Cougars make the trek to the Mountain State to face West Virginia. Tip is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. ET at Hope Coliseum.

WHERE TO WATCH
Saturday's game will be broadcast on FOX with Kevin Kugler and LaPhonso Ellis on the call.

ARE THESE THE COUNTRY ROADS THAT TAKE US HOME?
Saturday will be the sixth all-time meeting between the two schools as the Cougars make the cross-country trip for a third consecutive season. BYU leads the all-time series 4-1, with all four of its wins coming since joining the Big 12.

Second-year head coach Kevin Young is 2-0 against the Mountaineers, including a 73-69 victory over the Mountaineers in their last trip to WVU Coliseum on Feb. 11, 2025. The four-point victory and second straight win in Morgantown spearheaded a nine-game win streak that saw the Cougars go from a Bubble Team to a No. 6 seed in the NCAA Tournament.

Former Cougar and Brooklyn Nets sharpshooter Egor Dëmin scored a game-high 16 points for the Cougars on a snowy evening in the Appalachian Mountains, going 6-of-12 from the field, 1-of-4 from three and 3-of-4 from the free throw line. In six minutes off the bench, Trey Stewart knocked down a pair of 3-pointers while Mihailo Boskovic finished with six points, including an old-fashioned 3-point play in the final 10 seconds to seal the road victory for BYU.

DYNAMIC DUO DOES IT AGAIN
AJ Dybantsa and Robert Wright III combined to score 49 points on Tuesday as they became the 17th different duo in program history score at least 500 points in a single season and the first since TJ Haws and Yoeli Childs did it back in 2018-19.

With their performance against the Knights, Dybantsa and Wright III have now combined to score 1,209 points this season, which is the ninth-most scored by two players in a single season in program history.

Season Players Points
2010-11 Jimmer Fredette (1,068), Jackson Emery (462) 1,530
2012-13 Tyler Haws (780), Brandon Davies (637) 1,417
1980-81 Danny Ainge (782), Fred Roberts (603) 1,385
1987-88 Michael Smith (679), Jeff Chatman (623) 1,302
2017-18 Elijah Bryant (636), Yoeli Childs (624) 1,260

2014-15 Tyler Haws (776), Kyle Collinsworth (456) 1,232
2025-26 AJ Dybantsa (702), Robert Wright III (507) 1,209

Even with Richie Saunders out for the season, this year's squad is the 12th in program history to have three players who have scored at least 400 points, as the senior had 451 points before suffering a season-ending injury in the Cougars first offensive possession against Colorado.

RESURGENT ROB
With his 20-point performance against UCF, Robert Wright III has now scored 20 or more 10 times this season, seven more than he had during his freshman season at Baylor. He could potentially reach 1,000 career points in the next few weeks, having scored 910 points in 63 games.

The 6-foot-1 guard is averaging a career-high 18.1 points per game, having made more field goals (182), 3-pointers (50) and free throws (93) than he did during his lone season under Scott Drew in Waco.

With three games remaining in the regular season, Wright III is shooting 43.1 percent from behind the arc, which is the 19th-highest percentage in a season in program history. He also ranks 14th in assists per game (4.86) and 19th in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.23:1).

THE LEADER OF NATIONS
AJ Dybantsa continues to lead the nation in scoring as the freshman is averaging 25.1 points per game after eclipsing 20 points for the seventh-straight game, the second-longest streak of his young career.

Rk Name, School G Pts Avg
1 AJ Dybantsa, BYU 28 702 25.1
2 Jordan Riley, East Carolina 26 613 23.6
3 PJ Haggerty, Kansas State 27 634 23.5
  Dasehun Ruffin, Jackson State 24 563 23.5
5 Cameron Boozer, Duke 28 635 22.7

The native of Brockton, Mass. is one of four freshmen to rank in the Top 10 on the scoring list, joined by Duke's Cameron Boozer, Stanford's Ebuka Okorie and Arkansas' Dairus Acuff Jr.

If the season ended today, Dybantsa would join Jimmer Fredette as the only Cougars to ever lead the nation in scoring. The consensus Player of the Year averaged 28.9 points per game as a senior in 2010-11 en route to leading the program to its first Sweet since in 30 years.

A TALE OF SHOT PERCENTAGES
Under second-year head coach Kevin Young, BYU is 11-1 this season and 28-1 overall when shooting 50.0 percent or better from the field, with the lone loss coming earlier this season at Oklahoma State, ending a 39-game win streak for the Cougars. They are also 19-0 this season and 43-1 under the former associate head coach of the Phoenix Suns when outshooting their opponents.

BYU is 1-5 this season and 5-8 under Young when the opposing team shoots 50.0 percent or better from the field after UCF went 36-of-64 on Tuesday evening.

CAN'T SPELL WRIGHT WITHOUT A W
The Cougars are 5-0 this season when Robert Wright III makes three or more 3-pointers. Earlier this season, Wright III made at least one 3-pointer in 19 straight games, which is the eighth-longest in a single season in program history.

With three games remaining in the regular season, Wright III has already 19 more 3-pointers than he made in 35 games last season at Baylor.
