PROVO, Utah – The No. 57 Cougars will play their second Big 12 home match of the week when the No. 35 Oklahoma State Cowboys visit on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. MT at the Outdoor Tennis Courts.

The Cougars are coming off a 4–0 loss to the highest-ranked opponent it has faced this season, as No. 17 Arizona Wildcats defeated the Cougars on Thursday.

With the loss, BYU dropped to 12–3 on the season and lost its eighth straight Big 12 match dating back to last season, a drought it will attempt to end on Saturday.

Scouting the Cowboys

Oklahoma State (14–4, 1–0 Big 12) is coming off a narrow 4–3 win in Salt Lake City against the Utah Utes on Thursday, earning its fourth win in five matches. The Cowboys’ last two victories have both been 4–3 decisions. The win was Oklahoma State’s second on the road this season, improving its away record to 2–4.

The Cowboys’ standout player this season has been freshman Haydar Gokpinar, who competed in the boys’ singles draw at the 2025 Wimbledon Championships. Gokpinar is 15-1 in singles this season and is riding a 12-match winning streak.

Saturday’s match will mark the sixth meeting between the programs, with Oklahoma State leading the series 3–2. Since the Cougars joined the Big 12 Conference for the 2023–24 season, the teams have met three times, with the Cowboys winning each matchup, including back-to-back 4–3 victories last season. The latter came at the Big 12 Championships.
