BIG 12 CHAMPIONSHIP HISTORY. This will be BYU’s third Big 12 Gymnastics Championship appearance since joining the conference. In 2024, Oklahoma took home the win before switching conferences. The Utes took home the regular season crown and championship win last season. At the 2025 Big 12 Championship, the Cougars competed in the afternoon session against Iowa State and West Virginia, taking home the highest score with a 196.275. BYU senior Anna Bramblett-Wilde shared the top spot on podium on bars with Utah’s MaKenna Smith to become BYU’s first-ever Big 12 Co-Bars Champion.

THE COUGARS. No. 24 BYU last faced No. 14 Clemson in South Carolina, upsetting the Tigers with a season-high 197.225. BYU’s highlight of the evening was its beam rotation, where five gymnasts scored career highs to lift the team above Clemson in the final rotation. Beam was highlighted by freshman Scarlett Sonnenberg’s career-high 9.925 and Brynlee Andersen-Broekman’s 9.975, earning a 10 from one judge.

THE UTES. No. 12 Utah closed out its regular season with a perfect 6-0 Big 12 record, taking home its second-straight Big 12 regular season title. The Utes last competed at No. 5 UCLA, falling 197.850-197.400 to the Bruins. Despite the loss, this was Utah’s best road score of the 2026 season. Avery Neff posted a 9.975 on the uneven bars, sharing Big 12 weekly accolades with BYU’s Andersen-Broekman for the final Event Specialist of the Week honors.

THE PIONEERS. No. 23 Denver last competed at No. 25 Oregon State to close out its regular season, falling 196.925-195.175. Despite registering some of its highest road scores of the year, Denver had three falls on beam, leading to a season-low score in that event. The counted falls on beam ended a streak of 19 meets without DU doing so, which finishes tied as the third longest streak in program history. However, DU’s 49.200 on bars was its second highest score on the event this season and its highest on the road.

THE WILDCATS. Arizona last competed in a quad meet against Ohio State, TWU and SEMO hosted at home in Mckale Center at AKLEME Arena. The Wildcats earned a second-place finish with a 196.300 behind the Buckeyes’ 196.650. Arizona’s night was highlighted by 11 season highs and eight career highs.
