PROVO, Utah — Men’s golf will prepare to tee off the R.E. Lamkin in Chula Vista, California at San Diego Country Club March 9-10.

Last time on the links, BYU placed ninth in the John A. Burns Intercollegiate in Lihue, Hawaii on Feb. 12-14. Kihei Akina secured sixth place in the player field, the best finish from any Cougar.  

BYU will compete against 15 other teams in the field. Co-hosts San Diego and San Diego State, UC San Diego, Colorado, Pacific, USF, UC Santa Barbara, Saint Mary’s, UC Irvine, UT Arlington, Fresno State, Wyoming, Long Beach State, Cal Poly and UC Davis will battle it out with the Cougars on the 7,033-yard course. 

The Cougar lineup will feature Akina, who will be fresh off a T-16 finish in the Puerto Rico Open, freshman Jackson Mauss, junior Peter Kim and seniors Simon Kwon and Tyson Shelley. Angus Klintworth and Parker Bunn will be participating as individuals in the event. 

BYU will tee off on Monday at 8:45 p.m. MDT to play 36 holes on the day. Follow live scoring on Scoreboard, with updates on Instagram and X.
