THE COUGARS. BYU last competed in the evening session of the Big 12 Gymnastics Championship presented by Allstate. With a score of 196.175, the Cougars earned a third-place finish behind No. 12 Utah and No. 23 Denver. BYU finished its regular season with a winning record (10-7) for the first time since 2022, and notched its best Big 12 record (4-2) since joining the conference.
THE BULLDOGS. No. 6 Georgia ended its season off with a fifth-place finish at the SEC Championships with a score of 197.450. This score was the best team score posted by the Bulldogs at an SEC Championships since 2004, and is also the highest first session score in SEC Championships history. The GymDogs’ 49.375 on both bars and beam were the highest team event scores of the first session.
THE SPARTANS. No. 11 Michigan State scored a 197.475 to finish second at the Big Ten Championships on Saturday, Mar. 21 inside Illinois’ State Farm Center. With its second-place finish, MSU moved to 20-6 overall on the season. Four Spartans earned podium finishes in the competition, including senior Sage Kellerman’s conference title on bars with a 9.950 in the anchor spot.
THE THUNDERBIRDS. SUU secured its fourth consecutive conference championship, scoring a 194.850 to take the trophy at the MPSF Championship. Junior Niya Randolph led out for the T-Birds, earning a first-place finish on both vault and bars with scores of 9.875 and 9.900, respectively.
