PROVO, Utah — Fans can come watch many former Cougars take the field again on Friday evening at LaVell Edwards Stadium for the 2026 Alumni Game taking place as part of the program's annual BYU Football Alumni Day.
Free to the public, the Alumni Game kicks at 6 p.m. with gates 1 and 3 on the southwest of the stadium opening at 5 p.m. Parking is availble in the nearby south and west parking lots. Featuring nearly 50 former BYU players, this years' teams will be coached by longtime BYU offensive coordinator and assistant coach Norm Chow (1973-99) and national champion quarterback and former assistant coach and current BYU administrator Robbie Bosco (1981-85, 1990-present).
Chow will coach the Royal squad that will be led by quaterbacks John Walsh (1991-94) and Charlie Peterson (1995, 98-01), while Bosco will guide the Navy team led by quarterbacks Steve Clements (1990-94) and Brandon Doman (1998-01).
Overall, the rosters include 47 former Cougars dating back to the 1970s to as recently as 2023 who have helped BYU football rank in the top 10 for the most wins in college football over the last 50 years. Stadium Entry & Seating
- The Alumni Game is free to the public, with gates opening at 5 p.m. MT
- Due to construction, the only open gates for the event will be Gate 1 (southwest) and Gate 3 (west) on the west side of the stadium
- All public seating for the Alumni Game will be in the west stands
- Play will be going from south to north so fans are encouraged to sit toward the north end of the field in the west stands
Parking
- Parking is available in the south and west parking lots near the two open entrance gates at LaVell Edwards Stadium.
- Parking is free.
- From the west parking lot, utilize the safety cross walks to cross Canyon Road to the stadium.
Concessions & Merchandise
- Fans can enjoy food concessions and get the latest BYU gear and merchandise during the event.
- Concessions and the BYU Store will be open starting at 5 p.m. at the west stands locations in the stadium.

BYUtv Broadcast
BYUtv will provide a live stream broadcast of the Alumni Game starting at 6 p.m. Spencer Linton, Jarom Jordan and Blaine Fowler will call the action and provide fun on-the-field interactive moments with the players and coaches in the game. The broadcast will also include interviews with current players and coaches on the 2026 BYU football team as well as other football alumni on hand to watch the Alumni Game as the culminating festivities of Alumni Day.
BYU Football Alumni Day Information
In addition to Cougar fans having the opportunity to see how well some of their favorite former players still stack up against each other in the Alumni Game, the football program's annual Alumni Day provides all former players and their families a chance to come together for a day full of festivities that culminates with the Alumni Game.
