PROVO, Utah – Logan Hubler won the 400-meter hurdles at the Weber State Spring Open and Hayden Gribble took first in the high jump at the Utah Spring Classic Friday and Saturday afternoon.

Hayden Gribble finished first overall in the high jump recording a jump of 2.06m/6-9. The sophomore from South Jordan was joined in the event by Connor Saunders who finished right behind Gribble in second with a mark of 2.01m/6-7.25.
Erik Bryant set a personal record in the hammer throw recording a mark of 52.71m/172-11.25 taking fourth. The freshman also competed in the discus throw alongside Tyler Poole taking tenth with a throw of 46.03m/151-0 and Poole taking fifth with a mark of 49.52m/162-5.5.
Ty Oustrich took third in the 400-meter dash coming across the line in 48.23 seconds with Hubler 0.03 seconds behind him finishing fourth in 48.26 seconds.

Hubler finished first in the 400-meter hurdles finishing in 51.70 seconds. The senior holds the no. 7 fastest time from a BYU athlete in the event at 50.33 set during the 2025 season.
Gribble made an appearance in the javelin a day after winning the high jump, finishing third overall throwing the javelin 57.50m/188-7.
