PROVO, Utah — No. 23 men’s golf is ready to hit the links at Pasatiempo Golf Club for the 79th Western Intercollegiate presented by Titleist in Santa Cruz, Calif. on April 13-15.
This prestigious event is the longest running tournament in the NCAA. This is BYU’s seventh consecutive season participating in it.
The Cougars placed fourth in The Goodwin last time out. Kihei Akina took home a runner-up finish in that event, his third straight finish of second or better.
There will be 15 schools in Santa Cruz participating in the tournament. Host San Jose State, Oregon, Stanford, San Diego State, Cal, UC Irvine, Chattanooga, Arizona, Pepperdine, UNLV, USC, Hawaii, Washington and Nihon will be out at Pasatiempo alongside BYU.
The Cougar lineup will roll out Akina, Simon Kwon, Peter Kim, Tyson Shelley, Jackson Mauss and Angus Klintworth.
