LONG BEACH, Calif. – Cailee Faulkner posted a new school record in the pole vault with her 4.33m/14-2.5 at the Pacific Coast Invitational at Jack Rose Track.
Faulkner rose from No. 6 on the record boards to now hold the school record as she cleared 4.33m/14-2.5. The Mesa, Ariz. product finished over 0.25m ahead of the rest of the competition. It also improves 0.13m from her previous season best. Faulkner moved ahead of Rebekah Erikson and Maren Garnett’s shared school record of 4.32m/14-2. Including indoor, this is her sixth win this season.
Las Vegas product Zoey Bonds won the 100-meter hurdles, clocking a 13.26. This moves Bonds to the fifth-best mark in program history.
Lia Pili posted another top-10 finish in the shot put, earning her first spot on the program’s all-time list. She finished eighth with her 15.48m/50-9.5, which earned her the No. 7 spot in program history.
Mae Johnson tied for fifth in the high jump as she recorded a 1.68m/5-6, marking the third time this outdoor season that Johnson has finished in the top five.
