PROVO, Utah – The Cougars will host the Robison Invitational from Apr. 29-May 2 at the Clarence F. Robison Track & Field Complex.

The throws group will kick things off for the Cougars. Lia Katoa and Lia Pili, who both rank in the top 10 of the program record books, are expected to headline the hammer throw, while Kaiah Fisher will compete in her top-10 event in the discus. Fisher’s best is a 55.09m/180-9, which she set at the Weber State Spring Classic.

Zoey Bonds and Tia Brown will compete in the heptathlon. Bonds ranks No. 6 in program history, led by her performances in the 100-meter hurdles, where she recently set the No. 6 mark with a 13.26.

Kali McEuen, who holds the third-best time in program history in the 100m hurdles, will return to the event’s preliminary round Wednesday. Paje Rasmussen, the school record holder in the 100m, will compete in Wednesday’s preliminary and attempt to break Jaslyn Gardner’s school record in the 200m on Saturday.

Marianne Barber and Cambria Hasler will represent the Cougars in the 400m. Barber sits No. 6 in program history with a 53.51. The hurdles will continue with the 400m hurdles, expected to be led by Mayci Taylor, who owns the fourth-best mark in program history.

Pole vaulters Abbie Scott and Cailee Faulkner will compete in the event, both ranking in the program’s top 10, with Faulkner holding the school record. Mae Johnson is set for the high jump, aiming for her second win this outdoor season.

Barber, Rasmussen and McEuen will join Mikensi Smith in the 4x100m relay. The quartet is currently tied for the sixth-best mark in the Big 12 this season with a 44.30 from the Beach Invitational.

Distance events will kick off Thursday. Jane Hedengren is set for her first outdoor performances in the 1500m and mile. The true freshman set the No. 2 mark in school history during the indoor season, which also ranked as the third-fastest in NCAA history. Carlee Hansen-Thompson, Tessa Buswell and Taylor Rohatinsky, who are in the 1500m record book, will also compete. Karissa Chamberlain and Emerald Kehr are set for the 3000m steeplechase.

The 800m group is expected to be led by Tessa Buswell, who clocked a 2:00.76 at the Bryan Clay Invitational for the fifth-best time in program history.

Along with the meet, BYU track and field seniors will be honored Thursday at 12:50 p.m. MST.
