PROVO, Utah – BYU men’s track and field prepares to host the Robison Invitational at Clarence F. Robison Track and Field on April 29 through May 2.

The Cougars open on Wednesday April, 29 with the 5000-meter featuring the Thompson twins Creed Thompson and Davin Thompson alongside Noah Jenkins, Dalton Mortensen and Jacob Stanford.

Multi-athletes  Ben Barton and Kaden Passsey will compete in the decathlon opening Wednesday with the 100-meter, long jump, shot put, high jump and 400-meter Wednesday before finishing with the 110-meter hurdles, discus, pole vault, javelin and 1500-meter on Thursday.

Throwers Erik Bryant, Mark Bryant and Tyler Poole are expected to make appearances in the hammer throw Wednesday as well as the discus and shot put on Thursday.

Garrett Copelin, Logan Hubler, Jayden Jessee and Treyton Anderson are entered in the 110m hurdles and the 400-meter hurdles Wednesday with Brayden Dahl expected to join them in the later event.

Josh Taylor, Jonah Heimuli and Ty Oustrich will all feature in the 400-meter dash. Hayden Gribble and Connor Saunders will appear in the high jump.

Silas Zimmerman and Dallin Thornton will compete together in the pole vault with Brinton Paulson, Carson Riner and Gribble entered in the javelin throw.

Thursday BYU will compete in the 4x100-meter relay fielding a squad featuring Taylor, Hubler, Anderson and Dahl.

Indoor mile reigning national champion Carter Cutting will then headline the 1500-meter joined by Caleb Johnson, Brayden Packard, Isaac Teeples, Hunter Kitchen, Jefferson McMullin and Jacob Stanford.

Jessee is set to make an appearance in the long jump with Oustrich and Heimuli entered in the 200-meter dash.

Olympian James Corrigan is set to compete in the 3000-meter steeplechase Thursday in a race that will feature McMullin, Garrett Stanford, Max Davis, Jackson Henstrom and former BYU athlete Kenneth Rooks.

The sprints group is also expected to compete in the 4x400-meter relay fielding Taylor, Copelin, Dahl and Heimuli.

Friday, Cutting will compete in the 800-meter alongside Packard, Teeples and Johnson. Freshman Tayvon Kitchen, who holds two BYU school records will compete in the mile alongside Isaac Hedengren.

On Saturday morning, the Cougars will close the meet with performances from Hubler, Dahl and Taylor in the 200-meter dash.

Along with the meet, BYU track and field seniors will be honored Thursday at 12:50 p.m. MST.
