Years as Head Coach
- Named BYU women’s basketball head coach in the fall of 1989
- From Cardiff, California
- In her five seasons compiled a 79-63 overall record
- In 1993 she was named WAC Coach of the Year after guiding her team to a 24-5 record including finishing first in the WAC with a 13-1 mark.
- Garnered District VII Converse Coach of the Year honors in 1993
- Named to the Utah Network for Girls and Women in Sports (UNGWS)Hall of Fame in 1993
- Under Wilson the Cougar team had two-second place finishes in league play (HCAC & WAC) and two fifth place finishes
- In her third year as head coach, the team was recognized as the “most improved team in Div. I in 1992” by the NCAA News after going from an 8-21 mark to a 21-8 record
Personal
- In 1974 graduated from BYU with a B. S. degree in Physical Education
- Was head coach at Hillcrest High School in Salt Lake City where she won three 4A State Championships
- High School team placed in top eight, 12 of her 13 years
- Named Region II Coach-of-the Year three times
- Voted 1988 Utah State Coach-of-the Year by the Utah High School Officials Association
