Stash recently joined the BYU Sports Medicine Staff in August 2022 and will be working with the Cross Country and Track and Field Teams. He grew up in sunny southern California and attended Long Beach State prior to being baptized and joining the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He then transferred to Brigham Young University-Provo where he completed his bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training in 2015. He was awarded the Athletic Training Student of the Year Award prior to graduation. He then continued his education at the University of Utah where he completed his Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy in 2018. While pursuing this degree, Stash worked as the Athletic Trainer for the BYU Women’s Lacrosse Extramural team as well as the head coordinator for all emergency medicine for a Utah youth lacrosse league. After graduating with his Doctorate degree, Stash was hired to work at Bushnell Physical Therapy and Utah Valley University where he primarily worked with orthopedic and sport injuries. Immediately prior to joining the athletic department he was the Athletic Training Manager for BYU Extramural Sports. In addition to his degrees, Stash has completed additional training or certifications in SFMA, various manual therapies including spinal manipulation and dry needling as well as concussion rehabilitation and management. He currently lives in American Fork with his incredible wife Nikki and fun-loving kids Kade, Lydia and Thea.
