Patrick Fisher is entering his second year as the assistant coach to the men's tennis team.
Fisher graduated from Ferris State University where he earned a bachelor's degree in marketing and professional tennis management. Nationally ranked in the top 25, Fisher, along with his teammates, qualified and played in the NCAA Division II National Tournament during each of the 1996-2000 seasons.
In 2003 Fisher began working as an assistant coach at Western Michigan University. While there he helped coach Ravi Pathanjali to his highest national ranking at No. 72. He also coached Brady Crosby who received Mid-American Conference Freshman of the Year honors. During Fisher's time there, the Broncos qualified for the NCAA National Tennis Tournament, achieved the team's highest ranking in school history, and saw wins over teams from the Big 10, Big East and Big 12 Conferences.
Before coming to BYU, Fisher was the head coach of both the men's and women's tennis teams at Colgate University between 2004-06. Through his solid efforts he was able to resurrect both programs. Reed Hagmann and Jackie Couture were named Patriot League Players of the Year for the men's and women's tennis categories, respectively. Both of these honors were the first in the programs' histories. Fisher also coached Hagmann to the university's first national tennis ranking.
Up to this point in his coaching career, Fisher has coached 10 all-conference performers. He served on the East Regional NCAA Division I Selection Committee during 2004-06 and the Patriot League Protest Committee during 2005-06. Fisher is a member of the United States Professional Tennis Association as a certified tennis professional.
Fisher is married to the former Tegan Reist and the couple currently resides in Orem, Utah, with their son Jack.
