Tiffany Turley Bowcut joined BYU Athletics after serving as BYU’s Title IX coordinator for eight years. Bowcut oversees human resources for BYU Athletics, as well as policy writing, trainings, surveys and onboarding, working closely with compliance.
Turley has worked closely with BYU Athletics over her eight years in the Title IX office, overseeing gender equity. She also oversaw the university’s response to dating violence, domestic violence, sexual assault, sexual harassment, stalking and sex discrimination. She conducted trainings on these issues throughout campus. Before her time at BYU, Turley worked for South Valley Services and the Utah Department of Workforce Services. Turley has a bachelor’s degree in human development from BYU and and MBA from Westminster College.
Turley has been involved with Utah's Rape Recovery Center as a member of their strategic planning team and is a certified crisis counselor through the Utah Coalition Against Sexual Assault. She served on BYU's Student Life Advisory Council and previously served on the university's Educational Support Unit Review Committee. She is also a former ambassador for the Utah Women in Leadership Project and was recognized by Utah Valley Magazine as one of their FAB 40 people of 2018 for her work in ending sexual violence in the community.
