Bio
Travis Hansen is BYU's senior associate athletic director over revenue sharing and NIL.
Hansen was born in Provo and prepped at Mountain View High School in Orem. After serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Santiago, Chile, he starred for a BYU basketball team that went 44–1 at the Marriott Center over his three seasons with the Cougars. He was an all-conference and all-district selection and was selected in the 2003 NBA Draft (2nd round) by the Atlanta Hawks. His professional basketball career spanned from Atlanta to Real Madrid, where he competed at the highest levels of European basketball. Hansen retired from basketball in 2013.
Following his playing career, he founded Tesani Companies, a private equity and holding company based in Provo, Utah, which oversees a diverse portfolio of businesses. He also co-founded Eddy, a leading HR software company, and the Sunshine Heroes Foundation, a nonprofit focused on strengthening families and serving children around the world. Hansen earned a bachelor's degree in health science from BYU and a certificate in nonprofit management from Duke University. In recognition of his service and leadership, he received BYU’s Distinguished Young Alumni Award in 2015.
