Mat Taylor - Volleyball - Junior - Orem, Utah

With 22 kills against Hawaii on Jan. 22, Mat Taylor broke his previous career high of 16, set against Lewis on Jan. 17, 2009. He also recorded a .486 hitting percentage and two service aces against the Warriors. Prior to this season Taylor’s career high in kills was seven. In BYU's second matchup against Hawai'i Jan. 23, Taylor again led the Cougar team with 19 kills, marking the third consecutive match he has done so, including his 16 kills against Lewis.

Stott Bushnell - Men's Swimming - Freshman - Fallbrook, Calif

The freshman sensation won the 200 free at both meets on Friday and Saturday. He also won the 500 free against Air Force on Friday with a time of 4:41.86, out-touching teammate John Kendrick by three-hundredths of a second.

Sam Hatch - Men's Diving - Freshman - Gilbert, Ariz

Hatch scored 304.20 on the 1-meter and 335.03 on the 3-meter. During Saturday’s competition against Wyoming he was the only Cougar diver to take first, doing so on the 3-meter board with a score of 335.12.

Aleesha Miller - Women's Swimming - Sophomore - Mesa, Ariz.

Miller broke the BYU pool record in the 50 free with a time of 23.07 on Saturday against Wyoming. The previous record was held by Amber Walter of Utah, set in 2006 (23.19). After breaking the BYU pool record in the 50 free, Miller also won the 100 free with a time of 50.87, only a tenth of a second off of the 100 free BYU pool record.

Ava Jackman - Women's Diving - Junior - Alpine, Utah

Ava Jackman took first on the 1-meter board against Air Force with a score of 310.28, the highest score in the MWC this season on the 1-meter board. She also took second on the 3-meter board against Wyoming with a score of 301.73. Behind two of her teammates at the Air Force meet, she placed third on the 3-meter board with a score of 294.08. She also placed third against Wyoming on the 1-meter with a score of 282.45.

Evan Urbina - Men's Tennis - Sophomore - Huntington Beach, Calif.

Urbina continued the season with strong play this weekend. The sophomore partnered with teammate A.J. Young to win doubles matches against UCLA and UC Irvine, the only BYU pair to do so. Urbina was able to win the most games of any Cougar against UCLA, facing No. 67 Matt Brooklyn. He also contributed to BYU’s close win over UC Irvine, defeating Sam Gould in straight sets.

Romina Nedakovic - Women's Tennis - Freshman - Icici, Croatia

Nedakovic was the only Cougar to post a 4-0 record on the weekend. She and partner Kristina Doerr easily won both of their doubles matches 8-3. The freshman also had a successful singles performance. She clinched the match for BYU against Washington State and was the only Cougar to get a win against Washington. Nedakovic dropped the first set in that match before battling back to win the second and third and give BYU its lone point.
