WCC Announces Cancellation of Baseball, Tennis Tournaments

SAN MATEO, Calif. — The West Coast Conference announced today the cancellation of the 2021 baseball and men’s and women’s tennis postseason tournaments as part of the conference’s cost containment measures.
Regular seasons are to proceed as planned, but the cancellation of these championship events is to help ensure financial stability, mitigate risks of COVID-19 exposure and preserve opportunities for student-athletes to vie for NCAA postseason selection.
These measures are only expected to impact championship events within the 2020-21 academic calendar. The WCC continues to evaluate the best path forward for long term stability.
