Twenty Cougars named to WCC Commissioner’s Honor Roll

SAN MATEO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference honored 20 BYU baseball players on its 2020-21 WCC Commissioner’s Honor Roll announced Wednesday.

Each year the WCC Commissioner’s Honor Roll recognizes student athletes who have excelled in balancing the demands of athletics and academia. Athletes are named to gold, silver or bronze honors based on their cumulative GPA.

Two Cougars earned a GPA over 3.75 and were named to the gold honor roll. Another six received silver honors with 12 being named to the bronze list.

Outfielder Cole Gambill posted the highest GPA on the team with a 3.95 cumulative mark in pre-business. Lefthanded pitcher Cooper McKeehan had a GPA of 3.80, also in pre-business, to join Gambill on the gold honor roll.

A total of 163 BYU student athletes from twelve teams were named to the 2020-21 Commissioner’s Honor Roll, including 46 gold honors, 49 silver honors and 68 bronze honors.
