WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO PLAY FOOTBALL OVER OTHER SPORTS: BYU showed most interest in football compared to other sports and the other colleges couldn’t offer the complete package, which BYU does offer.

IF I HAD TO GIVE UP ALL OF MY POSSESSIONS EXCEPT ONE, WHAT WOULD BE THE ONE THING I KEPT: I would keep my Character. Everything else can be
replaced.

HOW DID I SPEND MY OFF-SEASON: training, playing golf, working for Pelion Venture Partners.

IF I COULD PLAY ANOTHER POSITION, IT WOULD BE: Defensive lineman

WHO HAS HAD THE GREATEST INFLUENCE ON MY FOOTBALL CAREER: My dad. He told me as we were watching the ‘06 BYU football team that I could one day be out there. He helped me see with a vision and then never stop working when the vision become unclear or uncertain at times. He always believed in me.

HOW DID I SELECT MY JERSEY NUMBER: I was given a new number every spring and after the 3rd number I wanted to pick my own number. #13 was not taken so I took it for myself.

WHAT I WANT TO BE DOING 20YEARS FROM NOW: Enjoy a wonderful life with my future family and serving in the Church.

BEFORE A FOOTBALL GAME, I watch my highlights from the weeks of practices/games, visualize myself making plays, clown with the guys from the team, and stay as relaxed and loose as possible.

MY ADVICE TO YOUNGSTERS: Be positive, do the little things, and surround yourself with greatness.

ONE PLACE I WOULD LIKE TO VISIT: Finland and visit the people I came to love and serve.
