PORTSMOUTH, Va. – Brandon Davies completed his impressive run at the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament with a 23-point, eight-rebound effort as K&D Round's Landscaping defeated Roger Brown's Restaurant 87-78 in the title game on Saturday. Davies, who averaged 20.7 points, 9.3 boards, 3.0 assists, 1.0 blocks and 1.3 steals while shooting .676 from the field, led his team to a 3-0 record and was named tournament MVP.
Davies hit 10 of 14 from the field and 3 of 5 from the free throw line for his game-high 23 points. Three of his eight rebounds came on the offensive end and he added one assist, one block and two steals in 28 minutes of playing time. For the week, Davies was second at the Portsmouth Invitational in scoring, tied for fourth in rebounding, first in field goal percentage and tied for second in offensive rebounds.
