  • The 2011-12 season marks BYU’s first as a member of the West Coast Conference and a new television partnership with BYUtv and ESPN that will give fans unprecedented access to BYU basketball. ESPN will broadcast eight BYU games and BYUtv is currently scheduled to televise 17 games.
  • Under Dave Rose, BYU is 4-2 in its season openers, including wins in it’s last four openers: 74-34 at Long Beach State in 2007, 75-65 vs. Long Beach State in 2008, 70-60 vs. Bradley in 2009 and 83-56 vs. Fresno State in 2010.
  • Under Dave Rose, BYU is 5-1 in its road openers, including wins in the last four seasons. Last season, BYU defeated Creighton 77-65 in its first true road game. The Cougars also won two neutral site games before the Creighton game.
  • The Cougars return three starters from last season’s 32-5 team, including Brandon Davies (11.1 ppg, 6.2 rpg), Noah Hartsock (8.6 ppg, 5.9 rpg) and Charles Abouo (7.2 ppg, 4.8 rpg).
  • BYU basketball coach Dave Rose has led the Cougars to their most successful six-year stretch in program history. He is second in program history in wins (159), first in winning percentage (.779) and has led the Cougars to five-straight NCAA Tournament berths and four conference titles in the last five seasons.
  • BYU — along with Butler, Kansas and Pittsburgh — is one of only four NCAA Division I programs that has won at least 25 games in each of the last five seasons. Only eight teams have acheived the mark in each of the last four seasons, including BYU and WCC foes Gonzaga and Saint Mary’s.
