SAN DIEGO--Spencer Dunaway sits in a seven-way tie for 32nd place while BYU is tied for ninth after 36 holes of play at the Lamkin Invitational on Monday.

"We had some windy, cool weather today, which is always hard," BYU head coach Bruce Brockbank said. "We knew that the course would present a serious challenge on the putting greens because they are fast and they caused some stress to our young team. We hit some decent shots during the round and hope to have a better day tomorrow."

The Cougars shot 32-over-par (608) over the 36 holes.

Dunaway shot a 75 in each of the two rounds and is six-over-par. The freshman had three birdies in the second round.

Kaimakani Ruiz is tied for 39th after shooting a 151, seven-over par on the day. Patrick Fishburn is tied for 56th while teammate CJ Lee sits right behind him, tied for 59th. Zach Pritchard is tied for 88th.

West Coast Conference opponents LMU and the University of San Diego are also competing in the invitational. San Diego is in eighth place and LMU sits below BYU in 11th.

The Cougars will play the final 18 holes of the Lamkin Invitational on Tuesday. The event can be followed live.
