PROVO, Utah – Senior middle blocker Price Jarman has been named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation/Molten Defensive Player of the Week, the organization announced Monday.

Jarman helped BYU men’s volleyball secure a pair of road sweeps last week on the defensive end.

Against a record-setting crowd at Grand Canyon, he put up a match-best seven blocks – three more than anyone else on the court. Jarman also added two digs in the win.

Then, in a sweep of Concordia Irvine, he contributed a season-high tying and match-best eight blocks (just one shy of his career high) and two digs. He also added seven kills in the match and didn’t have a single hitting error in either match.

This is the first MPSF honor of the season for Jarman and fourth for BYU as a team. Miki Jauhiainen was previously named MPSF Defensive Player of the Week, and Gabi Garcia Fernandez and Brenden Sander have each earned MPSF Offensive Player of the Week accolades this season.
