LOUISVILLE, Ky. —Three BYU softball players have been named to the 2021 National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division I All-Pacific Region, the NFCA announced Thursday.

Senior outfielder Rylee Jensen was named to the All-Region First Team while senior pitcher Autumn Moffat-Korth and freshman outfielder Violet Zavodnik were named All-Region Second Team.

The all-region teams were chosen by NFCA member coaches from each region, and all the honorees will now be eligible for selection to one of three 2021 NFCA Division I All-American teams.

Jensen, a senior from Idaho Falls, Idaho, was named to the NFCA All-Pacific Region First team for the second time in her career. Jensen also made All-Pacific Region First Team in 2019 and has received NFCA All-Region honors every year since her freshman season. The senior leads the team in home runs with 18, which is tied for No. 9 nationally. Batting .398, Jensen is hitting .531 with runners in scoring position, a team-high, and set school records in career hits and runs. In left field, she also boasts a perfect fielding percentage. She has the team’s second-highest batting average (.398), slugging percentage (.801) and on-base percentage (.466).

From Eagle, Idaho, Moffat-Korth appeared on the NFCA All-Region team for the first time in her career after being named to the All-Pacific Region Second Team. The senior pitcher posted a 20-8 record in 31 starts, with 19 complete games this season and has a 2.01 ERA, with 154 strikeouts to 39 walks. From the plate, she is hitting .229 with two runs and nine RBI, including one home run.

Freshman center fielder Zavodnik, who was named the WCC Freshman and Player of the Year earlier this week, added another postseason honor, as she was named to the All-Pacific Region Second Team. Zavodnik is hitting .426 and has started in all 50 games this year for the Cougars. It is the first time a BYU freshman has made the All-Region team since Jensen did in 2017. In 136 at-bats, Zavodnik had 58 hits, including 13 extra base hits and 13 homers. She has scored 42 runs with 44 RBI and boasts team-highs in slugging percentage (.846), on-base percentage (.535) and walks (21).

The 2021 NFCA Division I All-America teams will be announced on Wednesday, June 2, on NFCA.org.
