LUBBOCK, Texas--Freshman Rose Huang finished in a tie for seventh place in windy conditions and the No. 25 BYU women's golf team finished tied for fifth at the Red Raider Invitational Saturday.

"Rose played amazing today" BYU head coach Carrie Roberts said. "I can't even begin to describe how well she played. She is incrediblly solid and played well in tough conditions. However, as a team we had a rough day today. We'll come home and make the adjustments needed to be ready for the next tournament."

The Cougars shot a 315 today, 27-over-par. Despite being plagued with bogeys during the last round, BYU had six birdies as a team.

Huang shot a +3 in the third round, including a birdie on the second to last hole. She shot two-over-par over all three rounds.

Lea Garner and Kendra Dalton tied for 31st place, both shooting 10-over-par in three rounds. Alexandra White followed close behind her teammates, as she finished tied for 40th. Brooklyn Hocker shot 13-over-par throughout the invitational and ended in a tie for 44th place.
