No. 21 BYU travels to Air Force for quad meet

PROVO, Utah – The No. 21 BYU gymnastics team travels to Colorado Springs, Colorado, to take on Air Force, Springfield and Seattle Pacific on Saturday, Feb. 9, at 7 p.m. MST.

Meet Information

THE COUGARS. BYU placed third last week against Cal and Arizona State as the team scored a 194.975. Captain Shannon Evans recorded a career-best 39.475 in the all-around as she scored a 9.925 on vault.

MRGC HONORS. Evans has earned at least one Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference Specialist of the Week honors in all four weeks this season. She has received the honors for her performances on floor, vault, beam and was named Gymnast of the Week for Week 4.

MRGC STANDINGS. Boise State and BYU have each earned two wins in conference action. The Broncos beat Southern Utah in Cedar City and at home while the Cougars topped Utah State on the road and in the Marriott Center. Southern Utah earned its first win against Utah State last week in Cedar City.

AIR FORCE FALCONS. The Falcons have placed first in their last two meets after scoring a 193.775 and a 188.200, respectively. The 193.775 is Air Force's season-best as they beat San Jose State, Seattle Pacific and Alaska.

SPRINGFIELD PRIDE. Springfield is coming off a fourth place finish after scoring a 188.200 at the Don Tonry Invitational at Yale University on Feb. 2. That was the highest score the Pride has scored this season.

SEATTLE PACIFIC FALCONS. Seattle scored a 190.625 as the Falcons placed fourth in a quad meet against Northern Illinois, Kent State and Lindenwood. Its highest score of the season was a 192.625 against UC Davis in January.
