THE TIGERS. Pacific is 9-2-2 on the season, after a tie with Saint Mary's last week on Oct. 9. The Tigers evened the score against the Gaels with less than five minutes remaining in the game, courtesy of a goal from sophomore midfielder Laila Saravia in the 85th minute. In their first WCC matchup of the season, the Tigers defeated LMU 1-0 in double-overtime, with junior forward Jade Enalin not scoring the game-winner until the 105th minute. Pacific's goalkeeper Brenna Crump is a three-time reigning WCC Defensive Player of the Week, with a total of 43 saves this season. Pacific's defense has only allowed seven goals this season, as well, with three coming from the 2020 National Champions of Santa Clara. Last season, the Tigers only won one game, with a 1-8-3 overall record, and haven't finished with an overall winning record since 2009. The Tigers are led by two newly-appointed interim co-head coaches Danesha Adams and J.J. Wozniak, who both joined the Pacific staff in March of 2020. Previously, Adams served as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at the University of Houston and led UCLA to four NCAA College Cups during her collegiate career. Wozniak transferred to Stockton by way of UNLV, where he served on the Rebels' women's soccer coaching staff for five years and was promoted to an associate head coach in 2017.

COUGARS VS. TIGERS. Since joining the WCC, the Cougars have gone undefeated against the Tigers. BYU is 8-1-0 all-time. The two teams met up, prior to joining the WCC, in 1997 and the Cougars lost 3-2. Last season, BYU defeated the Tigers 5-1 at Knoles Field, with four goals in the second half by BYU (Brecken Mozingo, Bella Folino (2), Rachel McCarthy and Colohan).
