No. 13 BYU prepares to host the Arkansas Razorbacks on Thursday evening

PROVO, Utah — The Cougars are set to play the Razorbacks in their fourth-straight home game on South Field. 

GAME NOTES

Because of extreme heat, Thursday’s matchup has been moved from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. MDT. The game will be carried live on BYURadio.org/BYU Radio app/BYU Radio 107.9 FM. The game will also be streamed on BYUtv and the BYUtv App. 

LAST TIME ON THE FIELD. BYU last played CSUN on South Field Saturday night. With four second-half goals, BYU won 5-0 for its first home win of the 2022 season. Brecken Mozingo put away two goals for a brace on the night and two freshmen, Allie Fryer and Sierra Pennock, made their first career goals as Cougars. BYU’s defensive line held firm, allowing just one shot by CSUN in the full 90-minute match.

  • BYU is currently ranked No. 13 nationally and No. 3 in the West Coast Conference under head coach Jennifer Rockwood
  • After three home games last week, BYU is now 3-1-1 on the season
  • Jamie Shepherd  and Mozingo lead the Cougars in goals with three a piece

  • Mozingo has now scored in two consecutive games
  • Goalkeeper Savanna Mason is the only BYU player to have played all 90 minutes in the first five games of the season

COUGARS VS RAZORBACKS. The Cougars and Razorbacks have played just once previously with Arkansas leading the series 1-0. The last time the two teams met was Aug. 30, 2021 when the Razorbacks beat the Cougars 2-0 on Razorback Field.
