PROVO, Utah - Juniors Carlee Payne and Lindsi Lisonbee received recognition this week from national organizations TopDrawerSoccer.com and the Missouri Athletic Club's Hermann Trophy Watch List for 2011.

Lisonbee was added to the 42-player list of women's Division I athletes who perform at the top of their respective positions. The MAC Hermann Trophy is the highest individual award in intercollegiate soccer. The recipients are selected by head coaches of NCAA Division I programs who are members of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).

As the anchor in BYU's defense, Lisonbee was named a 2010 NSCAA All-American after helping to hold their season's opponents to just 12 goals all year. In 2009, she helped hold opponents to just 15 goals. Lisonbee has played in 46 games to-date and scored six goals in her career.

Payne was named to TopDrawerSoccer.com's National Top 100 Players of the upcoming season as one of BYU's exceptional forwards. Payne has already made her mark in the BYU women's soccer record books for her 19 career goals, her 100 shots and 17 assists.

From the Hermann Trophy Watch List, six other athletes also recognized will match-up this season against the Cougars and 13 players from TDS.com's Top 100 Players will see action against BYU.

The Cougars open their season against No. 19 Washington on the road this Friday, Aug. 19, at 7 p.m. PT.
